Speaking 7 different languages and representing more than 10 cultural backgrounds, 23 five year olds make up my Kindergarten classroom. Each day these children walk, drive, or take the bus from all over the city to come to school ready and excited to learn. While all these children come from varying backgrounds, they have one very important thing in common- none of them speak English as a first language. Though they face many challenges throughout the day because of language barriers, they take on each one with passion and enthusiasm.

About my class
