As someone who works with special education students, the variety of materials needed to reach everyone's individualized goals is immense. Many standards are taught through a variety of means. To be able to speak with increasing clarity, ease, and accuracy is a standard that is often difficult for my students to reach. It is Standard 8.PK.1. Also, Standard SL.K.6, which covers being able to speak audibly and express thoughts, feelings, and ideas clearly is another one that proves to be one that my students often struggle to master. The communication materials and reinforcers will allow students to have more opportunities for non verbal communication.
