My students are creative and thankful for the role of school in their lives. School is their safe place and they see my room as a refuge. Education changes lives and my students are on the road to self discovery as well as learning more about the world we live in. I teach in a upper middle class area in suburban Orange County. I serve students who range from English learners to AP to students with special needs. I absolutely respect and honor the diverse environment of my classroom. COVID proved to be a lonely experience for many of my students who were home alone while parents worked. For this reason, we have all embraced our return to on ground instruction where relationships flourish and growth is exponential.
