My students attend a public high school in MetroDetroit and are 9-12 graders who have enrolled in Journalism and Writing for Publications elective classes. These are students who are already great writers, looking to develop their craft. Some have already decided on a career in journalism while others are taking the class because they see the importance of using their First Amendment right to freedom of the press.
