I have a group of special education students that consist of students with Autism, Mental Retardation, and Emotional Disturbance. They are in grades 9-12 but due to the severity of their disabilities they function on a kindergarten through forth grade level. We teach the core curriculum areas such as math, reading, spelling, and social studies but we also teach life skills such as shopping, washing clothes, check writing, and swimming. I have all boys and they are excited to learn about dinosaurs. We have limited science resources in our classroom but they often read books, use the internet and draw picture of dinosaurs. I want to give them a better learning experience by purchasing these materials. At the end of the year, we will be traveling to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History where we will take a fossil tour and the students will get to see real dinosaur foss
