These materials will help me create future readers and leaders! Most of the materials are books which will not only provide students with more opportunities to develop their reading in the different contexts of printed materials but will also lead to vocabulary development and places to practice sight words. The additional fun materials and activities will allow them to practice phonics and phonemic awareness, key early literacy skills. The students in my class are primarily English language learners, so the basic readers and fun activities will be engaging for them to learn new vocabulary and become strong readers like their native English speaking classmates.
