Every day I have students asking for a snack because they forgot to eat breakfast or because the time between the start of school and second lunch is so long that they need something to tide them over until lunch. I’ve tried to stock up using my own resources, but I can’t keep up. Not every student asks for a snack, but among all 115 of my students, I would like to at least have a supply as there have been a couple of times I’ve run out and have had to deny students a snack. I teach at a school where so many students have food insecurities. I know that having a variety of snacks will help as well.
