We rely so heavily on digitizing all learning within our schools, but many of our students need an opportunity to get back to print. They also need highly engaging content that they can choose from. My students want to have the choice to guide their learning and what is interesting to one student may not be to the next. Science world will provide many of my students that opportunity to have something new and engaging every month. Reading is one of the foundations for student success. I want to provide my students with options on both, what they read and how that material is delivered. Not only does Science World provide a great opportunity for reading, but also developing critical thinking skills though the in depth activities that are provided with the subscription. They provide opportunities for students to work on data analysis, reading comprehension, understanding fact vs. opinion, and vocabulary acquisition. I know my students will not only grow academically, but they will be much more engaged in that learning.
