Having enough balls and jump ropes for all students to participate is essential for success. Some of my classes are large, with up to 28 students. Having enough supplies for all students to engage is so important. Many of our balls and jump ropes are broken. Our balls wear out after the repeated use. I complete many different units of focused instruction throughout the school year, nutrition, ball skills, jump roping, and teamwork. Teaching students about nutrition and team work is essential to them learning life long skills. Our students learn the different food groups and how each food impacts their bodies. We use fidget poppers to keep score during team and relay activities. The kids are incredibly motivated to do well just to pop their teams popper.
