I am an MSW student through Utah State University, doing my first year practicum at Rose Springs Elementary. A small group of USU students and I are working on a project for our community to advocate for the massive number of refugee children who have entered our local community recently. The intent of this project is to provide children's books to these refugee children in their native language in order to: provide a sense of comfort to them, communicate that their culture is important to them and not to be replaced or disposed-of, to encourage education for the children, women, and families, and to facilitate a community of inclusion!
