Students will be inspired to create a one-of-a-kind children's book for our creative writing class. These hard cover books give them the opportunity to create something of their own that is meaningful to them. Students spend hours working on these projects and love to share them with their families when they are complete. This project also helps high school students reach out into the community as we travel to read their final books to the elementary school in town. Students learn creativity as well as writing to adapt to specific audiences in this unit. They also get to stretch their artistic abilities and recreate one of the best parts of childhood!
