The materials I have selected will help my students with their physical and mental health. I plan to use the parachutes in numerous activities and games challenging the students. By coordinating the parachute together, kids learn about cooperative play and communication, along with taking turns and learning to follow instructions. Repetitive motion and using songs helps with developing a sense of rhythm, which in turn can help with cognitive process. The low seats on kids' sit-on scooters allow them to get safely on and off with ease. Kids also enhance their social and emotional skills as they take turns sitting on a scooter or having friends push them on it. I plan to the ball pit balls as props for games for both the parachute and the scooters. A kids' mental and physical health are extremely important and being able to exercise while having fun is a vital component of both mental and physical health. As the PE teacher, I believe that it is my responsibility to motivate my students to get active and to help them develop and maintain healthy life habits. I truly believe teaching students how to have fun while exercising is an important life lesson.
