I am requesting stepping stones, milkweed plant, butterfly feeder kit and water holder for our garden. The Three Petal Sensory Garden is an area designed to provide ALL students in the school the enjoyment of a wide variety of sensory activities. The garden engages the five basic senses of sight, smell, sound, touch and taste. Students will not only connect to nature, but will be encouraged to become more aware of their surroundings and respond to them. Time outdoors, breathing fresh air, being exposed to sunlight and experiencing nature through the five senses are extremely beneficial to the overall physical and cognitive health which affect the learning outcomes of our students. We are also working to build our sensory garden as a National Wildlife Federation Garden for Wildlife.
