Having a variety of blocks and animals to play with in the block and imaginative play centers will encourage free and creative play. This will promote cognitive, language, physical, social, and emotional development. This encourages the students to work and play together to solve problems, build vocabulary and discover and explore different animals and habitats. The set of community helpers will teach the students about professions and a variety of occupations we find in and around where they live. These will also be a great addition to our block and creative play centers. They will help build vocabulary and social skills while they play and build their communities. The Dramatic Play center “Pet Vet” will encourage the students to act out professions like a veterinarian and encourage playful learning. The “Let’s Go Shopping For Food Baskets” will promote vocabulary development by introducing food groups and sorting food types into the different baskets. By donating to our project you will be helping the students learn by giving them the materials to encourage meaningful and constructive play.
