These materials will enhance the learning experience that I strive to create. My classroom is mobile. I teach public school students in their homes, libraries, or community centers. Sometimes the learning happens one on one or in small groups. In a post COVID setting, when sharing my screen with students, they need to be socially distanced. The technology requested will allow my students the opportunity to see a wide variety of lessons while still maintaining a safe distance. Some of my students have immunocompromised family members but still want to attend small group sessions. The technology will allow them to participate fully while not having to put themselves or family members at risk. Also, many of my students struggle with mental health issues and the technology will give them an opportunity to be and feel included. The researched hands-on activities and games, when done in a caring and thought-out manner, can help students mend social and emotional anxieties while promoting mathematical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
