The materials I chose for my class will help me teach the TPS curriculum (CKLA). I have not had any manipulatives so far for my class. This will give my class a more hands on approach to learning. I feel it will also help some of my students who are currently struggling in the class. Not only am I a new teacher but new to this class as well. They have had substitutes since the beginning of the year. They are not use to formal instruction. I feel this will bring some fun into the classroom.
