Most of my resources are requested to create a comfortable and inviting learning environment for my students. My 7th graders have had to adapt to constantly changing from being in-person to virtual because of the pandemic. I would like to make my classroom a place they feel safe and have some consistency. When a classroom is inviting, students are more likely to stay engaged. Flexible seating gives them the comfort of home inside the classroom. A large number of my students primarily speak Spanish at home. For these students, the headphones allow them to translate their assignments without feeling singled out. As for collaboration, the whiteboards and large 'post-it' notes are helpful when it comes to keeping the classroom engaged and building a community. I love to have hands-on activities, and these items would be so helpful.
