The various options of flexible seating in my classroom will provide my students with new and fun ways to learn in my classroom. All students are in need of a warm and welcoming environment while at school. I have purchased a couple flexible seating options for my classroom with my own funds, and the students race to get to one of those spots, when offered. Having more options for my students to choose from will directly correlate with their success in fourth grade. In light of Covid-19, students have had a difficult time transitioning back to the traditional five day week in the classroom. By offering my students different work areas around my room, I will be increasing engagement during lessons and independent work time. Students will use the adjustable stools and yoga ball chairs to pair with their provided desks. Our classroom configurations include collaborative desks, but lack the flexibility of providing a chair that will fit every child’s need for engagement. In hopes that my project is funded, I will begin to see higher engagement and collaboration within my classroom. My students will appreciate the comfort of my classroom, and will accomplish more during their independent and collaborative work time. Thank you for considering donating to my project.
