Because of the pandemic, many of my youngest learners were not afforded the opportunity for early identification and intervention, or the early learning opportunities that yield well-rounded developmental domains linked to kindergarten readiness. Donors Choose projects have fostered development of: spatial awareness, visual-motor planning and coordination, critical thinking, fine-motor dexterity, imaginative play, social reciprocity skills, and vocabulary development, among others. These playful and engaging projects have encompassed all five developmental domains critical to children's wellbeing, and will afford my students the opportunity to practice and strengthen several essential skills for school readiness.
