The use of math and science manipulatives will expose my students to different learning objectives required for different careers. We will explore different careers using these objectives and experiences. We are planning a field trip to the flight line to tour where parachutes are packed and dried food supplies for soldiers. We also plan on touring two different planes, hopefully a KC 135 and a C 5. We will use our headphones in our research of careers to maintain a peaceful environment not to disturb other students' research. With our programmable Bee Bot robots, the students will explore programming and coding. This will enable the student to determine if this is something they are interested in and want to continue learning. The project will culminate with a presentation of what they want to do and why. The learning experience brings in the sciences, math, technology, engineering, and literacy.
