My 3rd graders have not had a normal school year since they were in kindergarten because of COVID-19. In light of this, they benefit from learning in a non-traditional way. When students are able to move and learn around the room they are more comfortable. They are able to evaluate their learning environment and choose a way that best fits their personal needs. Wobble stools are an excellent fit at my teacher table. They can wiggle while they are getting individualized instruction. The floor pillow seating allows for students to space themselves around the room and work comfortable from the floor.
