The kids that are in my first grade class this year have never experienced a normal school year. We, as educators, are all doing the best we can but these students are behind. I have done way more differentiating of instruction this year than ever before. I have noticed that foundational skills, which are so important, are lacking in these students. I will use the requested resources to teach letter/sound relationships when building words. The magnetic wands and chips will help the students get a visual during our phonemic awareness activities. I will use the mesh pouches to store these for easy use. I spend so much of my own money on finding supplemental materials that our curriculum does not cover. The TPT gift cards will be a great help with that. These resources will greatly help in my ability to reach these kids on all levels! Thank you so much for your consideration! I am excited to be able to use these resources in my class!
