Flexible seating would allow students a choice of where to work comfortably but still be engaged. Currently during independent work time students may move around the room to work but we do not have many options of comfy seats. These floor chairs and lap desks would allow the students choice and comfort. I have noticed that students are more engaged when given a choice of seats and are more comfortable resulting in more learning. These floor chairs would help with the wiggles and falling out of traditional chairs as well.
