All of the materials that I put in my shopping cart are items that will enhance my student's ability to role play during our center time. Focusing on the unit we are covering. These role-playing items will revolve around community theme of pets, construction, grocery worker and doctor. Family role playing consist of baby dolls with bath time and travel time kits. The baby dolls will also promote nurturing. Providing my students with real role-playing materials could lead to the discovery of their lifelong career. I would love to hear one of my students say, "when I grow up, I want to be a doctor or when I grow up, I want to take care of all sorts of animals." The excitement that can come from providing the students with these items will be so rewarding for them and me. Role playing gives students the opportunity for social growth.
