My classroom library is a treasured resource for my students. These books were chosen with them in mind. I have had the opportunity to speak with my students and observe their preferred genres and book series; these books are a reflection of that. Students will be able to choose books that will continue to grow their love for independent reading. The more my students read the more their fluency, vocabulary and comprehension will continue to improve. I want to continue to provide my students with literature that supports and affirms their diversity and provides positive representation of their communities. It is my hope that the readers I help build today will create the leaders of tomorrow.
