My students are craving new and different projects. With the materials I have requested, I will be able to add more projects of interest to my classroom. I want to inspire a connection between students and ideas. Through debates, artistic picture books, and more activities, I can create a more interesting learning environment. First, I plan to have students debating their ideas and finding their voices. The podiums and notecards will help students create successful speeches, presentations, and debates. They can tackle tough topics of interest to help understand important matters of our time. Second, I plan to have students creating masterpiece picture books to share with younger students, hopefully inspiring these students to read and write themselves. When you have over 100 students, it is difficult to purchase enough materials for them each to create projects. These bags, markers, connectors, paper, and stencils will ensure they all have materials to create something they will be proud to share. Finally, I plan to incorporate more collaborative activities using stations and movement in my classroom. The large paper, Post-it notes, markers, and construction paper will all be used to create interactive centers for learning.
