My students were in first grade when covid first hit. They missed out on critical math and reading instruction. The flashcards and games can be used in the classroom as well as checked out to be used at home. I have many struggling readers in my class and the graphic novels will provide even my lowest reader the chance to read about different topics. Many of these children need to be shown the MAGIC of reading. We have been reading Harry Potter and they would be so focused if they EACH had their own book to read along. In addition, I plan to read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at the end of the year and they would be able to use a class set to read along.
