In light of the additional daily stressors caused by COVID-19, I hope to improve educational outcomes for students in the behavior support classroom by supporting their mental health and social development. Through the use of the "A Little Spot" books, students will be able to develop social and emotional skills they can use throughout their lives. This project will supply students in the behavior support classroom with tailored resources that are otherwise unavailable to them. The class would have complete sets of social-emotional learning and life skills books! Students would also have access to additional calming resources such as stress balls, therapy putty, and a sensory pea pod that can be used as tools for emotional regulation.
