The use of common school supplies in my classroom is a daily chore when students show up without a simple pencil or paper. Students struggle enough these days with the worry of social distancing and financial hardships at home. Being prepared for classes allows students to focus on the objective or activity at hand. Pencils are lost, notebooks are filled up, and dry erase markers are used up. Different types of paper allow students to express their creativity and display what has been learned. By donating to our project, students will be able to focus on the math objective through activities instead of having the worry of materials needed to play. Students will be able to focus on academics instead of being prepared for class and the time it takes to find what the student needs. Parents will also have a burden lifted on less school supplies to purchase throughout the year.
