Students today appear to have limited knowledge with vocabulary, which can be attributed to a multitude of reasons, including working much on their own the past two years as well as using "abbreviations" using their varied social media interactions. I believe that vocabulary development is essential for students to not only write well, but to speak well. It is the foundation of all learning and will only enhance their future learning, whether it is in a formal learning situation or as they gain various skills informally, windows to the world. I am asking for a variety of vocab workbooks to support student learning.
