If online teaching taught me anything as a teacher, it taught me that my students are creative. Creativity is a universal language that expresses itself in various ways and my students love to express themselves. This creative expression has led to greater engagement in the classroom and deeper understanding of the Oklahoma English Language Arts standards. It is my goal with this project to continue to foster that creativity by providing the in class resources for more project based learning opportunities. Since many of my students come from low income households, they do not have the funds to buy colorful paper, designer lettering, print the photo they found online or even took themselves, nor do we have the resources to create a vibrant learning environment they can be proud of in their school building. The items in this project will ensure accomplishment of all these goals. This project will cultivate English Class Excitement.
