Because many students are from low-income homes, there is no guarantee students will have access to internet services during Covid related distance learning. It is imperative that each student have their own copy of Killers of the Flower Moon, so that they may continue learning, even when being present in class is not an option. With only one class set, any student who is exposed or tests positive inevitably falls behind, with little to no opportunity to catch up. School closures also pose a problem, because online assignments are not always feasible for some students, and it is impossible to continue reading.
