Our Kindergarten team is hoping to receive innovative materials to inspire purposeful sensory play and creative art expression for our students. In order to build, shape and nurture our many students who are lacking social skills due to the gaps in schooling because of Covid- 19, we must expose our students to materials that encourage the development of fundamental early childhood skills. It's crucial that we foster the development of gaining independence and the ability to compromise. Children who are able to play with baby dolls are often better equipped to socialize in loving, nurturing ways. Bringing baby dolls into our program gives our students the opportunity to develop these imperative skills. Artistic exploration fosters communication, creativity and happiness...especially Messy Art! Offering children a wide range of sensory based materials, such as the ones included in this project gives them an enhanced opportunity to foster this development. We want to promote creative, healthy emotions in our school community.
