My students have missed out on so many experiences because of COVID-19. The materials I have requested will allow me to let them experience hands-on learning as we explore the world of lifecycles and habitats. I have requested a wide variety of plant and animal life in order to let my students experience each step of a plant and animal's lifecycle, in addition to experiencing ideal habitats for each of the plants and animals. My materials include habitats for ants, worms, chickens, and frogs. My materials will also provide the supplies needed to grow plants in our classroom through their various stages as well as materials and furniture to house animals in our classroom as we observe them in their ideal habitat. Once our habitats are observed, my students will be able to analyze their data both by writing with the materials on my project list and by using technology, which will have its own special home in the furniture provided on the materials list. The materials provided by this project will give my students the opportunity to experience a wide variety of plant and animal life throughout the school year that they may not have the opportunity to experience otherwise.
