The use of white boards is almost a daily activity in my French classroom. The white boards allow me to see exactly what my students are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. I can use these white boards both in person and during distance learning to check my students' understanding. Several of my beginning students are reticent to speak up, and these white boards provide them a manner in which to respond in a non-threatening manner. After I ask a question, students write their answers on these white boards, and I cam immediately know which students are successful and which students need more practice.
