To help my students learn amid the pandemic, I could use individual notebooks, headphones, and Expo markers. These supplies would help my student's individual learning. They would use notebooks to take math notes in and work problems out. They would use headphones to watch videos from missed math lessons or listen to calming music while they work. I know that a lot of my students struggle with anxiety and listening to music while they independently work helps with that. My students like to use my portable whiteboards to work out problems on, so having additional Expo markers for them would be a great addition to my classroom.
To make an upcoming unit more engaging, I would love big chart paper so that my students can work collaboratively to graph different equations and situations. This will help them learn about graphing equations in a more collaborative and hands-on way.
To bring my dream learning activity to life, I’d love to get some flexible seating to help my students focus in class and facilitate collaborative learning. Students have become used to doing work in the comfort of their own homes, so I would like to provide them with comfortable seating around my room to facilitate their best learning experience. I have applied for a standing desk, yoga balls, wobble chairs, and floor cushions so that each learner has a variety of options to choose from to help them better stay focused in my classroom.
