Kindergarten is such an exciting year for children. For many it's their first year in the classroom. It's a year of learning how to read and counting numbers but it's also a year of learning how to get along with other kids. This can be difficult for many students because getting along is hard. In my classroom social emotional skills are just as important as academic skills. The pandemic has added a lot of stress and uncertainty in kids lives. They don't know from day to day if they will be in school or learning from home. One of my main goals right now is to make sure that when they are in the classroom they are having fun interacting with their friends. They need that more than ever right now. The materials that I need right now are a dollhouse and dollhouse supplies. The one that I have is falling apart and my kids use it everyday. Dollhouses are a great toy for kids to act out scenes and have imaginative adventures.
