A makerspace fosters creativity and personalized learning strategies. Makerspaces foster innovation through hands-on experimentation. Students develop the ability to think critically and learn effective problem solving through the activities in a makerspace. While working in a makerspace students also develop communication and collaboration skills they need to be successful in the 21st century. The products that I have selected will help my students by providing the materials needed for a successful makerspace in our classroom. The skills my students gain from weekly participation in the makerspace will help develop their young minds for their future success. Not only do students learn while in the makerspace, but they truly enjoy the experience.
