I believe that these items will help to add a wider variety of activities to my classroom. My goal as a Physical Education teacher is to have twenty-five different games that kids enjoy playing. To do that I need certain equipment to play certain games. Working in a large school I have a lot of students, so I need that equipment to be sturdy and I need a good number of certain items to make sure every student has the chance to participate. The dodgeballs and tumbling mats I am requesting will help students work on throwing, teamwork, movement in space, running, agility, volleying, and arm strengthening. Physical Education is important for a multitude of reasons, including giving the brain a break from standard learning and keeping kids active. Physical education brings students joy and having different activities is important to keeping the kids engaged.
