Using hands-on manipulatives, such as tactile multiplication charts, place value charts, dominoes, math games, and fraction/decimal tiles, in math will help students build up their mathematical foundation and number sense. Learning is a multi-sensory activity and these manipulatives, games, and other math learning resources will help students at all levels become engaged in math content. Because of COVID-19, number sense and mathematical foundations have wavered. These resources will help students build those foundations and become engaged in the content with tactile and hands-on learning experiences. These manipulatives will help students at all levels deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts. These manipulatives, games, and other resources will be used individually, in small groups, and as a whole class. My students learn differently and the pandemic has shown that they need a better mathematical foundation. These resources will help them solidify their understanding and will give them the crucial foundation that they will build on for the rest of the educational career.
