There are many things that have changed in the classroom since March 2020. Technology being one of them. My class is in the beginning stages of the 'writing process' and researching topics to support our writing. I want to be able to give them the materials to engage and explore many educational resources with their recent 1:1 devices at their fingertips. My students would benefit from a class set of headphones so they are able to research from their iPads with comfort and free from distraction. As COVID-19 has reconstructed student’s learning, our students have resiliently learned how to navigate technology in meaningful and intentional ways. My students would benefit from a class set of headphones in order to continue exploring and learning. COVID-19 has also reconstructed learning from a social-emotional perspective. These past two years have shaped the way students have interacted with the world around them. I want to provide them with a safe space so they can grow, learn and ask questions. Our class would benefit from social-emotional books and activities to incorporate into our classroom curriculum on a day-to-day basis. Our class is actively engaging in activities that will allow my students to recognize and explain their emotions and feelings so they can have self-awareness for themselves and others. Having these resources will better prepare my students for engaging the real world.
