To help my students learn amid the pandemic, I could use materials to help them develop their collaboration an organizational skills. Giving each student a folder helps them keep track of their papers, develop study plans, and feel pride and responsibility for their work in the class. The cover paper will be used to print tools for students to track their progress throughout each unit. To make an upcoming unit more engaging, my students would love to see physical representations of velocity and distance. The ticker-tape timer will enable them to relate distance, time, and velocity in a visually concrete way while developing their measurement skills. The meter sticks and rulers will likewise be used to develop measurement skills and connect concrete actions to the numbers and calculations we use.
