Research has shown using hands-on manipulatives can increase students' engagement and attentiveness to their learning without them even realizing it. We will utilize these manipulatives and games immediately in our lessons. I use math fact cards in my classroom which requires my students to answer one of the math fact cards correctly to receive their turn in the game. This is an exciting way for me to provide opportunities for my students to learn as well as reinforce their math facts. This exciting way of learning will be graciously accepted by my students due to the fact they have not been able to learn with this excitement much over the past few years due to Covid-19 and being able to cooperate in group activities.
