Students in Special Education will have anxiety, sensory, and manipulative needs to decrease higher levels of stress, and frustration. These tools will help students regulate those levels and find a calm, relaxing environment to work in. Headphones are great for helping students during larger groups or assemblies where sounds can be a triggering factor. Hand held manipulatives, such as pop-its, stress balls, and putty, relieve stress or provide sensory relief from frustrating situations and provides the outlet to calm themselves. A calm child will generally produce a more productive child.
