I purchased a book "the Quiet Hero" about Utha's famous, yet humble, Medal of Honor recipient Maj George Wahlen. A pillar in our community. Lessons can be prepared from this book for remote learning, these lessons will tie in closely with the Leadership portion of the JROTC curriculum. This lesson can be used during Veteran's Day, or near Memorial Day. The leadership portion of the curriculum is unique, a portion of the training is spent on the correct wearing of the uniform, dress and appearance, grooming standards, and the significance of the rank and patches.
