As a new teacher, I do not have an established library book collection yet. I do not want to fill my library with just any books. I want my students to have a book shelf where they know they can grab a book and be a successful reader. Leveled readers will help my students be more successful readers. When my students grab a book off of the bookshelf I want them to be confident that they can successfully read the story that they chose and comprehend the story being read.
