These magazines will play a vital role to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom is a place that my students really enjoy learning about the world around them. In this post-pandemic culture my students are craving to see others and learn about events in the world after being so isolated for almost 2 years at home. All of these magazines have been chosen with my students in mind. These magazines are well researched for sixth graders and inspirational and well as informative. Students will be able to choose magazines which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. With these new magazines, my students will be able to connect to the world again after being at home for almost two years from school. These magazines will also allow them to read independently at their own grade level. Having the digital access is also crucial to success during a pandemic school year. I have students in and out of quarantine and being able to feel connected to class and access these magazines at home is amazing. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these magazines will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in current events, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word. These magazines are just what my students need to feel connected again after this wild time with the pandemic. Thank you!
