Students will use the art supplies to create projects, make drawings, or sketch people who look closer to their skin color. This will help show the wide range of skin tones and hair colors. This will also help build self-esteem by teaching that we are all different and it's okay. All the materials requested will present the children with a view of the world that is more like their home life through representation. Children will use the storybooks to listen and look at the accomplishments of men and women that look like them. They will listen to stories that relate to the experiences of their families. This will help build confidence, self-esteem, and a better knowledge of different cultures.
