The materials that I am requesting are vital for teaching my students how to communicate better on a day to day basis! These items will help my students learn more about their communication skills and how to use them effectively in their own world. The Webber Articulation Card Sets and the Eliciting Sounds text will significantly improve our education and application of correct sound production and articulation. The preschool/early learner play sets (e.g wooden magnet fishing game, fox in the box positional word game, alphabet sounds teaching tubs and storage rack, matching card game with monster theme, Zingo bingo, and pop sensory tubes) will help establish communication skills related to cause and effect, requesting/rejecting, vocabulary use in natural communication situations, letter-sound correspondence, and early language/literacy skills. The Rory's story cubes will assist with expressive language, narrative language, receptive language, and social language skills and can be used with students of any age. During our lessons, we work on learning what to say, when to say it, and whom to say it to; working on these skills improves communication interactions with peers, teachers, family, and community members. These skills are vital for success in the classroom and at at home. They are vital to the success of our students. These materials would make a big difference for me as an educator trying to help my students communicate with all the people in their world. All of these items would go to great use with my students and would be used almost every day. These materials would contribute greatly to my ability to facilitate language development and improved communication skills for my students.
