The past few years have been difficult for young learners. Thankfully, my students have, for the most part, gracefully endured the challenges and changes they have faced throughout the pandemic. One of these challenges is being able to learn in a hands-on environment. The materials I am asking for will not only motivate reluctant learners but will allow hands-on learning through a variety of manipulatives and learning games of varying levels to reach all learners. Students will have an opportunity to practice skills they may be struggling with as well as engage in enrichment activities in a highly motivating, engaging experience. This will allow them to have fun while ensuring they maintain a good foundation for future learning. Equipping my students and my classroom with meaningful and developmentally appropriate math and reading materials will stimulate my students’ growth as readers and mathematicians.
